If you ask someone what they want most from life, there is a good chance that they will say they just want to be happy. Current thinking and research into the field of positive psychology takes that idea one step further and suggests that what we really want (and in fact what we need) from life, is to flourish.



1. (of a living organism) to grow or develop in a healthy or vigorous way, especially as the result of a particularly favorable environment. 

Flourishing is getting the most out of life by enabling you to cultivate your talents, build deep and lasting relationships with others, feel pleasure and contribute meaningfully to the world.

On a grand scale, by increasing the amount of flourishing in the general population health, productivity and peace follow.

We see CrossFit as being instrumental in helping individuals to flourish. Participating in the workouts, challenging your skills and engaging in the CrossFit community helps develop many of the features that are central to the concept of flourishing.
