Crossfit SENIors

Functional Fitness for over 60’s

Like it or not, we all get old and will have to deal with the physiological and psychological changes associated with the ageing process!

HOWEVER, we don’t have to just sit back and take it!

To a large extent, we have control over the degree to which those changes impact our quality of life.  It’s a simple choice between sedentary ageing and the negative effects associated with inactivity, or active ageing that involves maintaining a high quality of life and functionality well into our elderly years.  The goal should be a life well-lived!

Research shows that a higher level of fitness as we age can lead to a significantly better quality of life.  Major medical risk factors such as hypertension, diabetes, coronary heart disease, stroke and cancer are reduced.  Improved balance reduces the risk of falls, which is a major factor in maintaining independence.

Crossfit is constantly varied functional movements executed at high intensity.

Our Crossfit program is universally scalable!  Everyone can do it!

Actually, EVERYONE should do it.

How to get started?

You are most welcome to visit us when we have a CrossFit Seniors class scheduled to have a look at how the class is run.  Please contact us if you are planning to visit so we can make sure we have a Trainer available to speak with you.

When are the classes on?

Seniors classes are presently offered three times per week on Monday. Wednesday and Friday mornings from 10:15am to 11am (45 minute session).

Do I have to be over 60?

You don't have to be over 60 to participate, however our regular CrossFit classes may be more suitable for you. We will assess you on a case by case basis. And of course, over 60's are most welcome to join our regular CrossFit program - you don't have to do the Seniors program.
